Maxwell R. Pray, CFA, Principal

Max Pray works with individuals, foundations, and private pension plans as a portfolio manager and has been with the firm since 2003. In addition he brings valuable experience in finance, equity analysis, and portfolio management to the Research and Investment Teams.

Prior to joining the firm, he served as Vice President in equity research and client services at Provident Investment Counsel. In the research group he was responsible for the retail, consumer, and pharmaceutical sectors in large cap equities. Before joining Provident, while pursuing his MBA, he worked at Trust Company of the West in equity research and actively managed the graduate school's Student Investment Fund. Prior to business school he worked for Procter & Gamble in manufacturing and finance in the paper products division.

Max serves as a volunteer photographer for the Polytechnic High School water polo team, providing photographs for their senior sports portraits and other programs. He also participates in various committees at Annandale Golf Club, most recently serving on the Finance Committee. His other volunteer activities over the years have been highlighted by coaching club basketball and marshaling for two major golf championships.
