Clifford Swan's offices are partially reopened, with different groups of employees coming into the office on alternating days. Previously, the firm had been operating on a fully remote basis since March 20 in response to the coronavirus pandemic.
Our transition back to the office is being undertaken with the utmost care, with employee safety being a top priority. Several measures have been put in place to keep risk to a minimum.
We look forward to the day we fully resume in-person operations. While we are proud of how well our employees are serving our clients in the interim, the collegial nature of our firm is best supported by working together in the same location.
Out of concern for our clients’ health and wellbeing, we are not currently holding in-person client meetings. Still, we very much want to meet with our clients, and urge those that have not yet met with us electronically to do so. After three months of “social distancing,” we can confidently say that meeting electronically is easier than one might think!

On March 19, California’s Governor Gavin Newsom and the County of Los Angeles Department of Public Health updated guidance to control the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) through issuance of the “Safer at Home” order. Accordingly, Clifford Swan has now fully implemented our remote work plan, and our office is closed. Currently the Order continues until April 19.
Until we determine it is safe to resume our regular, in-office operations, our remote work procedures will continue. As described in our March 18 update, our management and operations teams have ensured we have the appropriate infrastructure and systems in place to support all normal functions of our firm, including portfolio management, trading, client service, and investment research. All employees will continue to maintain their full time work schedules remotely and are eager to assist our clients.
You may continue to call us at (626) 792-2228. You will be prompted to dial the extension of the employee with whom you wish to speak. Please click here for telephone extensions and email addresses for all employees. When you dial the extension of the person you are trying to reach, your call will be routed directly to that person.

We have implemented a remote work plan for most of our colleagues. Currently the office remains open with a reduced number of employees. We continue to monitor the evolving situation to assess whether the office should be fully closed with all operations conducted remotely. Until we determine it is safe to resume our regular, in-office operations, our remote work procedures will continue. Our management and operations teams have ensured we have the appropriate infrastructure and systems in place to support all normal functions of our firm, including portfolio management, trading, client service, and investment research.
We are committed to serving our clients well during these unusual circumstances with as little disruption as possible. Investment counselor and client service teams will continue to manage portfolios and be available for consultation while we are working on a remote basis. We will endeavor to communicate as consistently as possible to provide information and perspective regarding the investment environment as conditions evolve.

Clifford Swan’s office currently remains open. We are following the coronavirus pandemic closely to ensure that we are prepared to work remotely as a firm in the event it is necessary due to state or local policies, or immediate coronavirus issues within our community.
Out of concern for our clients’ health and well-being, we are not currently holding in-person client meetings. We will contact clients to arrange a remote meeting if an in-person meeting has already been scheduled.
You may continue to call us at (626) 792-2228, and our receptionist will answer your call.
